EMDR

EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Therapy is an extremely effective therapeutic approach that assists people with reprocessing traumatic memories. The client attends to a traumatic or distressful memory and, with the therapist's help, is able to reprocess the memory so it is less disturbing to the client. As a result, the client experiences relief from the symptoms of emotional distress.

SE, Somatic Experiencing, is a therapeutic method that assists in resolving trauma and relieving chronic stress. SE Provides a framework that addresses the point at which the client is "stuck” and provides tools to resolve the responses that are associated with the trauma. Through SE, the therapist can assist the client in resetting the autonomic nervous system to aid the client in experiencing relief from the ongoing stress response that the body is experiencing. This method does not require the client to re-live the experience, but rather provides a process that allows the client to engage, complete and resolve the body’s instinctual stress responses.

The SSP involves listening to specially filtered music through headphones alongside a provider, in-person or remotely, or on a hybrid schedule. The SSP is safe and suitable for children and adults. The SSP has demonstrated benefits for individuals with trauma, anxiety, sensory processing differences and more.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a therapeutic modality that is used as a method to process trauma using focal points in the visual field that are connected to the trauma. In this process, the therapist is mindfully attuned to the client and assists in locating what are referred to as “Brainspots”. This process is useful for processing trauma at a subcortical level, resulting in the release of neurophysiological sources of emotional and physical pain.
